Stripes= classic

For many reasons my obsession for stripes, I could say, is strong but perhaps the main reason is that stripes could be timeless like seen in these images below. A bathroom featured in 1995 by Elle Decor that still looks up-to-date and a photograph of Audrey Hepburn lounging at her home on a striped couch are two great models of its classic influence.

new old dress

My new old dress, my mother used to wear it 25-30 years ago and now it's mine. She was so slim, tall and beautiful with her long, natural black hair in that yellow dress. (She's still beautiful!!!) I love the vivid colour of it so much. To this dress I'd like: these yellow vintage wooden clogs, and this print and this bag and one more yellow dress.

Pamiętacie Serię z Wiewiórką wydawaną przez Krajową Agencję Wydawniczą? Bardzo ja lubiłam, mały format, super wiewióra, okładki projektował Stanny, a w środku np. Kilian... Nakłady: 500 000!!!!! to były czasy :-)

Lovely books from my childhood called Seria z Wiewiórką, published by Krajowa Agencja Wydawnicza, covers designed by famous polish illustrator Janusz Stanny. Small, beautiful books. I love the logo of the series so much!

Camilla "La Belle"

Every time I see a photo of Camille Belle I can't help but notice the striking resemblance to Liz Taylor and Catherine Z Jones in her stunning beauty. As if her beauty wasn't enough she also knows how to dress in a classic and feminine way. I hope you are having a beautiful weekend!

polish interiors part2

I spent some days in my parents' home, but now I'm back. I really missed you, it's good to be here again :-)

Today next great, polish apartment, in vintage style which I love! The owners have nice place in Krakow called MIEJSCE (in english: Place :-), see the website here and what they do. For me the most beautiful things (of course I love everything) in that apartment are porcelain figures of animals: bears, camels... you can see some of them here (old great times in polish design) and this is one of my favourite.

Emma Jane Pilkington Pied-a-terre

Good Morning I hope you had a wonderful father's day. Thank you for your patience while I took much needed time off to rest and spend time with my family. While looking for good quality content I came across these images of Emma Jane Pilkington's home in NYC, originally published in Vogue Living. Her dual upbringing, between Australia and Greenwich, Conn. make her interiors a mixture of glam and bohemian that make them irresistible. The floors are painted to make them look like marquetry, what a wonderful and, I'm sure, big job. Enjoy!

polish interiors part1

I'd like to start with the new subject: POLISH INTERIORS. Today very modern, fresh and funny apartment in the old tenement house. For me GREAT!!! I love everything in that place but especially: mixture of very cheap (ikea beds, wooden box as a coffee table, bath) and expensive furniture, old and new things, lovely cushions and funny toys, modern and classical picture, white walls and stylish (a little) middle-class old floor -– ups I counted everything... :-) and what you think of this house and idea of showing places like this?
