Frame Card for Olive Juice Studio Challenge
This is another picture frame card that I made for my dear girlfriends. I made it to play along with the challenge at Olive Juice Studio. I have to thank Jeannie Phillips for turning me onto this wonderful blog. Jeannie is one of their featured guest designers. So the challenge is "Frames". The criteria is as follows:
1. Make a frame from any material: I made the frame out of cardstock. The card measure 6" x 8" and then I drew a 4" x 6" rectangle on the front and drew an X in it and cut the X to open it up for a window to lay the picture.
2. Use the colors black, white, green, pink, and blue: You can see all of these colors in my project.
3. Must include something 3D: The butterflies, tag, and the flourish are 3D. The butterflies are cut and embossed using my Cuttlebug Butterflies folder, the tag is cut using Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and cut at 3", and the flourishes are cut with my Cricut using Home Accents cartridge and are cut at 4" and 5" and then ran through the Cuttlebug Swirls folder.
4. Must include sheet music or text from a book, etc.: I used a page of text from an old book, painted Gesso on it and then stamped it with the sentiment.
To participate in this challenge, head on over the Olive Juice Studio for the details. The challenge is open from June 1st to July 13th.

Julia -
Wowza! What an awesome frame! Donna is absolutely right - the colors were a bit of a challenge but that's what makes it even more of a CHALLENGE and you totally pulled it off! :-) I just love it and think you did a fantastic job! I'm adding your URL to the Olive Crafts Challenge link right now! Tell your friends and followers I have extended the date to July 13th due to my original blog being unexpectedly deleted earlier this month!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and I look forward to seeing you again!
