Last night, while searching for rooms with geometric rugs, I came across Laudomia Pucci's estate located in the hills of Florence and I felt like looking at a home that has been published just recently, even when these images were published in <a href="http://www.wmagazine.com/artdesign/archive/home_pucci#slide=7"><span style="font-style: italic;">W </span>magazine</a> in 2005<span style="font-style: italic;"></span>. The estate dates back from the Renaissance and the "modern, kicked-back glamour" is my favorite feature of this house because it makes the Renaissance architecture warm and comfortable, two of my all time favorites as well. Pierwszy raz, pierwszy raz w życiu wyszłam z koncertu, no dobra dałam szansę do 7 utworu wytrwałam (po koszmarnym supporcie!!!!) ale więcej nie. Zespół Hey, który lubię, nawet bardzo (no dobrze 2 – 3 ostatnie płyty) nie wytrzymał próby czasu ;-( Choć nie wiem czemu się czepiam, przecież zanim kupiłam bilety trzeba było przeczytać że to "reemisja" – zła reemisja. A żart Kasi, że syn wolał zostać w domu niż być z nimi dziś w Stodole ma jakiś taki wisielczy wydźwięk. Powiem tak, fryzura super, bransolety super, nawet młodzież pijąca ekskluzywne czerwone wino z gwinta (co za czasy)  super – ale "stary" Hey nie super. A może ktoś był i uważa, że się zestarzałam, że nie czuję klimatu, że wygniatam orła :-) dajcie znać</span></span></div></div>

I immediately reminded her of <a href="http://bellevivir.blogspot.com/2009/12/merry-christmas.html">this</a> image I posted last Christmas by the glamorous Mary Mcdonald. Once I got home, I started browsing through my old issues of Veranda magazine when I came across these images that were published December 2005. This stunning 16th-c home located in France's Loire Valley region belongs to San Francisco designer <a href="http://stephenshubeldesign.com/index.html">Stephen Shubel</a>. The house is filled with antiques, vintage and new furniture pieces and decorated with crystal, silver candelabrum, mercury glass accessories from Mis En Demeure in Paris and old decorative papers wrap gifts. There are more images of this home in Stephen Shubel's website.<br /><br />"A living nativity scene is created by costume townsfolk in the ancient town square outside the home's front door. Sights and sounds of the season, complete with the caroling of bells from a church on the square, transform this otherwise quiet place" How magical should this be. Sometimes we forget the real meaning of Christmas and just reading this makes my heart fill up with awe. You see, this is why I keep telling my hubby we should collect a handful of friends and get a chateau in France.
