Dear Santa...

This is a scrapbook layout I designed for my nephew, Dominic's, Christmas list. On Thanksgiving, he wrote out his wish list and made copies of it and distributed it to the family. Wow, have we come a long way since I was a kid. What ever happened to dolls, games, etc. Now, every item on the list is $100 or more. And, don't even bother mailing it to Santa......just distribute it to the family! That's what I call eliminating the middle man. LOL!!!

Anyway, I used JOTS for most of the cuts. The chocolate chip cookies came from FMK. I did a lot of inking, stickling, painting, flocking, etc. Oh, the Dear Santa letters I cut from SCAL. And, I used the MS punch to edge the background paper.

I would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas! I hope Santa bring you everything you wish for!!!!!

Die Cuts R Us Challenge Week 19 - Project with a Holiday Feel

This is my entry for the Die Cuts R Us Challenge this week. We had to make a project with a holiday feel. This is a gift box that I made to put my Mom's Christmas present in. The ice skates remind me of her when I was a little girl. She would take me and my older sister ice skating and they would have their ice skates on and I would slide on the ice with my shoes because I was too little to wear skates. So I really had a great time decorating this gift. The ice skates are cut using Cricut's Winter Woodlands cartridge. I cut the skates at 7 inches and layered them and then flipped the image to make the other skate. I first cut the skates with chipboard so that they would stand up. I then inked the edges to give them a worn look. I painted the blades to give them a metal look. Then I used my Crop a Dile to set the eyelets for the laces. The paper is from S.E.I.

Reindeer and Penquin Holiday Cards

I made these two cards but I can't take the credit for designing them. I have to thank Donna Mundinger for that. I got the cut files from Custom Crops which were designed by Donna. For those of you who aren't familiar with Donna, please visit her blog at http://donnamundinger-popsicletoes.com. Believe me when I tell you that you will be in awe of her work. She has been such an inspiration to me. I first saw these cards on the Cricut Message Board and fell in love with them. I thought they were just the cutest ever!!!!! And, when Donna offered the cut files......I just couldn't resist. So, I went to work and "tried" to duplicate what she did. Donna, if you are reading this...I hope I did you proud! And, thank you so much for the inspiration.

Christmas Gift Card Holders

What a great project this was and so much fun to make. This is the diaper fold I got from Splitcoast Stampers. I used double-sided cardstock and folded it into the diaper fold. Then I adhered a piece of paper to the inside of the pocket. I glued three sides of the piece of paper so that I can insert a gift card there. I will use the opening of the pouch to put candy in for a treat. This makes a great gift. Not only are they getting a gift card, but they will get a sweet treat with it. I used Winter Woodlands cartridge to cut the hat and mittens and the sentiment for the first card. I used From My Kitchen to cut the cute little gingerbread man for the second card. I ran them through my Xyron to make them sticky and then added some brown flock to them. For the last card, I used Sizzix Snowflakes and layered them for dimension.

365 Cards Day 275 - Tis the Season

This card is for the 365 Cards Day 275 "Tis the Season" Challenge. We had to use the colors red and green. My nephew is crazy for legos. For Christmas, I bought him a Power Functions Legos all terrain vehicle. When I saw this paper, I thought it would be perfect for the card that goes along with the gift. The paper is from Creative Imaginations.

Holiday Gift Box - Poinsettia

I've already started to wrap Christmas gifts. I had so much fun with this one. I used Joys of the Season to cut the poinsettia. I first cut it at "fit to page" and then went down an inch four times after that to give it dimension. then I used a lot of inking and chaulking and curled the edges. I cut the tag using Tags Bags and Boxes and cut it at 5 inches and embellished it using rubber stamps and ribbon.

Treat Bags for Holiday Luncheon

This is my entry for Die Cuts R Us this week. They want to see handmade gifts. I am hosting our Tennis League Holiday Luncheon next week and I thought it would be nice to place a treat bag at each table setting for each of the gals. I used Cricut's Storybook cartridge to cut the flap. It's the Marquis which I cut at 5 inches. Then I used Joys of the Season and Winter Woodlands to cut the images in the top picture. I used my cuttlebug and Sizzix die cuts for the snowflakes in the bottom picture.

365 Cards Day 270 - Face It

The challenge at 365 Cards Day 270 is Face It. We had to make a face out of scraps. I had a scrap of a cutout I made from the mittens on the Winter Woodlands cartridge. So, I used it as the face here on this card. The ornament card is from Joys of the Season cartridge as well as the snowflake.

365 Cards Day 268 - Try a New Techniqe

Well, the challenge at 365 Cards Day 268 is to try a new technique. That technique is using your thumbprint on the card. Since, there is no one else in the world who shares your same fingerprint....it is certainly "one of a kind"...... the sentiment for my card.
